I believe the bond we create with our pets helps us understand ourselves better and teaches us the real meaning of unconditional love.

I am an all around animal lover and mother of three. I have raised and cared for a menagerie of animals from opossums to cows to humans. They bring me the greatest of joys. They have also taught me many lessons on how to be a better person while learning that the best way to help them, animal or human, is to know them as an individual and what ways I can support them to help them grow and become the happiest version of themselves.

As a kid, I was never allowed to have a dog, but I didn’t let that stop me. In the 4th grade I began dog sitting to fulfill that need. Over the years I expanded my experience and knowledge by working at a kennel, an animal shelter, joining a rescue organization where I sat on the board, becoming a certified dog trainer in 2014, and in 2015 began a grooming career. In the summer of 2020 I opened Zen Hound with the goal of using my experience to better the lives of dogs and their owners. Zen Hound is located on my “micro farm” in Winchester, KY, where I live with my family and an array of animals. It is my little piece of Heaven that I am excited to share with my clients and their dogs.
